WARRANTY

Manufactured Product/Services

Perma Seal Windows & Doors Ltd. warrants all products, as originally supplied to be free from defects in workmanship for a period of five (5) years.  Developments after this warranty period may require an additional service charge.  Materials provided by the original manufacturer which remain covered by their warranty will be provided at no charge.

A service charge will apply to labour after the original warranty period.

Glass

Double and Triple glazed insulating units are warrantied for a period of FIVE (5) years to be free from film or dust collection between the interior glass surfaces which would be the result of seal failure. This glass warranty is administered by our flat glass manufacturer(s), it is subject to their terms and conditions; including the final say on whether items are covered by this warranty.  An additional FIVE (5) year warranty period may be purchased at extra charge.

The application of window films, non conforming blinds and window coverings can nullify these warranties and are considered willful abuse.

PLEASE NOTE GLASS BREAKAGE IS NOT A WARRANTY ITEM

Hardware

Perma Seal does not manufacture window hardware or components like guides, latches, locks, levers, etc., and therefore does not warranty these items solely.  Items that fail in the warranty period of TEN (10) years are provided free of charge providing there is no evidence of abuse.

A service charge will be applied to site warranty work

Sashes and Frames - uPVC

Vinyl sashes and frames in normal service are warranted against defects in materials/workmanship for a period of 20 years from date of installation by the manufacturer/extruder of these products and stipulates that products found to be defective will be either repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's facililities or otherwise - at their sole discretion.

Sashes and Frames - wood

Wood, metal-clad sashes and frames have a limited warranty.  These warranties are conditional to having the proper finishes (paint/stain) applied to the products according to the instructions provided with our products before they are removed from our plant. 

General Warranty Terms and Conditions

Our warranty applies to products and workmanship purchased from Perma Seal Windows & Doors Ltd., it's affiliates and partners, they apply from the date of installation.  These warranties DO NOT APPLY to breakage or to completions by installation forces other than our own (non factory trained professionals) or by unnatural conditions caused by weather, abuse, misuse or other forms of mistreatment, or to acts of God.  Only repair or replacement of unit/part is implied and DOES NOT INCLUDE liability for any incidental, consequential or other damages, under any circumstances.
